La Testa to Ventilegne, Figari

An easy going flat walk along the south western coast of the island, with surprising landscapes. La Testa is an unspoilt area full of wild beaches, protected by the Conservatoire du Littorale. You will see traces of the pastoral history of the area and take your binoculars if you are a twitcher.

Sentier des Douaniers, Lodu to Saleccia

Lodu and Saleccia, who needs the Seychelles…? The Desert des Agriates stretches from Saint Florent in the North, to Ostriconi. The area is arid, with low maquis, that meets the coast at some of the most paradisiac beaches on the island. You can catch a boat (MAY TO SEPT) to the beach at LODU,

Sentier des Douaniers, St Florent to Lodu

Another great coastal walk, take care in hot weather as there is little shade. The tower at Mortella was partially destroyed by a bombardement by the British fleet. So impressed by the structure, Nelson suggested the building of MORTELLLO towers on the south coast of England.

Sentier des Douaniers, Maccinaggio

Follow the Customs officers path or ‘chemin des douaniers’ around the remote Cap Corse, along which you pass naturally preserved beaches and abandoned watchtowers witness to the battles that were fought for this island. The walking is captivating through a wild and natural landscape, and you can catch a boat (MAY TO SEPT) at end of the day to MACCINAGGIO.
