This is a wonderfully varied walk from the high road col at Vergio, down through the Aitone forest to the mountain village of Evisa. Really away from it all and great at any time of year. Can be linked with Golo Valley walking.
Vallée du Golu, Vergio
This is a short walk that will take you into the GOLU valley. You will see hikers on the famous GR20 two week trail heading to their next refuge. There is a shepherd’s cabin called RADULE, the GOLU river and a beautiful pine tree forest.
Tour d’Ominga, Cargese
This Genoese tower is called the tour d’OMIGNA, much lower than either of its neighbours, the path is coastal and easygoing and can be done in a couple of hours. The tower has been restored by the Conservatoire du Littoral and the path is well trodden.
Strada Vecchia to Paragan, Bonifacio
A STRADA VECCHIA is a great stroll along the clifftops from BONIFACIO. The first section takes you on the old pilgrim route to La Trinité Hermitage and to the PARAGAN beach, you then double back to the cove at FAZZIO, before skirting around the cliffs to the MADONETTE lighthouse, with views back to BONIFACIO.
Mont Aragnascu, Cuttoli-Corticiatto
A small but perfectly formed summit for a birdseye view of the Golfe d'Ajaccio.
Campomoro to Senetosa / Senetosa to Tizzano, Sartene
Wonderful coastal walking, the walk takes in the most unspoilt stretch of coastline in Corsica, between the villages of Campomoro and Tizzano.
Capu Rossu & Tour de Turghia, Piana
The Tour de Turghiu, it is built on a tremendous promontory of rose pink granite that soars out of the clear blue Mediterranean waters. The walk is unusual and quite unique in its genre, lots of down hill at the start and uphill at the end. But it is certainly a wow factor and has to be up there as one of the best walks in Corsica. Sea and mountains, what more can you ask for...?
